At Gea Thuis, many clients make use of the Home Services Scheme. This scheme enables private individuals to engage personal support for activities in and around daily life in an accessible manner. As a result, support often remains low-threshold, affordable, personal, and clear.

That is why we help you find a regular support worker with whom you feel a natural connection. Someone who suits your needs, but also your personality, rhythm, and way of life.
In addition, you have a dedicated contact person at Gea Thuis for questions and practical support throughout the process.
How does the scheme work?
When you use the scheme, the support worker works directly for you as a private individual.

This means that you make agreements together about:

What is good to know?
A number of important principles apply within the scheme:

Gea Thuis makes practical documents available for this purpose to provide support.
What has changed as of 2026?
As of January 1, 2026, changes will occur for a specific group of care providers, namely support staff working via a personal budget based on an employment contract. Broader social security rights will apply to this group.
Good to know: This change does not apply generally to all support providers within the scheme. For support that is not provided via a personal budget, nothing usually changes in practice.
What are the costs?
The total costs consist of two parts:

Your supporter's compensation
You agree with the supporter on what fee is appropriate, and you pay this directly to the supporter.

Deze dienstverlening bestaat onder andere uit:
- personal advice
- connecting you with a suitable supporter
- facilitating an introduction

Depending on your situation, you can choose between:
- maandelijkse servicekosten (vaak de meest gekozen en voordelige optie)
- een eenmalige servicevergoeding
(een hoger bedrag, dat vooraf wordt betaald)

In these examples, we assume:
- an hourly rate agreed upon by clients and support workers (we often see between €18.00 and €21.00. (For this example, we will use €19.00 per hour))
- Fixed subscription costs of €82.80 per month for deployment of up to and including 12 hours.
- an additional subscription fee for higher commitment, based on the scope of the support

Do you require less than 12 hours of support? That is perfectly fine; simply use Gea Basis. Fortunately, smaller support requests are also possible. You can also apply for your own support worker who visits you for less than 12 hours per month. The monthly costs then consist of a single fixed service fee plus the support worker's agreed hourly rate (you determine the number of hours yourself).

- For 8 hours of support per month: 8 x €19.00 = €152.00 wages €82.20 service contribution makes a total of €234.20 per month.
- For 4 hours of support per month: 4 x €19.00 = €76.00 wages €82.20 service contribution makes a total of €158.20 per month.
You benefit most from the low hourly rate with a commitment of 12 hours or more per month (regular), but a smaller commitment is of course also possible.
Good to know: These examples provide an indication of the possible monthly costs. The stated hourly rate*€19.00 is in line with market rates and serves as a guideline. The actual effort, compensation, times, and agreements are always tailored to your personal situation, wishes, and support needs in consultation between you and the support worker. Examples include taxes.
